HERSPANIC ACHIEVEMENT CELEBRATION is an annual event held during "Hispanic Heritage Month" that celebrates and honors the achievements of Latinas. This year the 2nd Annual Herspanic Achievement Celebration will held at Teatro Heckscher of El Museo del Barrio, New York City on Saturday, October 3, 2009 @ 8:00 PM.
Connecting achievements of the past with the present, HERSPANIC features lively entertainment by Latinas mixed with multimedia presentations that recognize their accomplishments in education, science, industry, community activism and the like. This year’s highlight will be NY Latinas Against Domestic Violence, a nonprofit organization that raises awareness in the Latino community on the issue of domestic violence and its consequences. As part of "Hispanic Heritage Month," HERSPANIC is a celebration of culture, heritage, and unsung personal and professional contributions, promising to become the event of the year for Latinas.
