NOCHES DEL CAFE

“NOCHES DEL CAFÉ: Where Revolutionaries Hangout After The Revolution” is a televised & webisode series highlighting the communities and venues where artists, whose work reflects a progressive social/political consciousness, are exhibited and performed.

The NOCHES DEL CAFÉ logo depicted by the steamy window and silhouette figures is urban, romantic, and nostalgic, reminiscent of the resistance fighters & underground movements mingling with artists & philosophers at the Rive Gauche “the Left Bank” found in every society unbeknownst to the mainstream.

The series focuses on the artistic, cultural, community, economic, & social contributions of the progressive Left’s social scene. It tours neighborhoods and features its night life and social networking spaces that are “Left-friendly”. NOCHES DEL CAFÉ provides open space for discussion of “hot” button topics of the day, exposure to avant-garde artists, and publicity to the vibrant “underground economy” both on the web and on television. Restaurants, cafes, bookstores, libraries, arts & cultural centers, global summits, social forums, and conferences are among the prime locations for our production of the series.

NOCHES DEL CAFÉ is an alternative to standardize programming options as it seeks to educate viewers of undisclosed historic facts and provide social commentaries and learned opinions “overheard” in a social setting.

NOCHES DEL CAFÉ is an engine for local, community, & economic development for marginalized & under-developed neighborhoods. In our “Radical Tours” segment we point out historic sites, cultural & ethnic icons, urban myths & legends, local architecture, and other attractions that promote vibrancy in the neighborhood. The program also extends past the limitation of the physical space and offers exposure to artists and their works. We present musicians, theatrical & other performance artists, painters & sculptors,  and writers.

NOCHES DEL CAFÉ stimulates and encourages the exchange of new ideas and work models via the social networking and arts scene. It shows the economic value of “fringe” communities in the form of recitals, exhibitions, performances, and political actions events. The dynamics of the fusion of entertainment values with innovative social structure and political ideologies creates new paradigms and opportunities for advancement by looking at things from a different perspective that answer many of today’s questions regarding environmental conservation, social justice, & human rights.

Thank you for watching NOCHES DEL CAFÉ whether on-line or on your television but, more importantly thank you for supporting the artist, businesses, and neighborhoods that provide us with the space, time, and talents for our programs. Look for us in your neighborhood!
